THE THIRD EDITION OF BAROLO EN PRIMEUR 2023

The result of the auction of “Barolo en primeur 2023”, the most important “wine & charity” event in Italy by value, sold last Friday from the Grinzane Cavour Castle between Alba, New York and London, is 811,000 euros. A sum that testifies to the strength of the formula that unites the king of Langhe wines and charity, and which exceeded the 769,800 euros of the 2022 edition. Up for grabs are 1,336 bottles of Barolo and Barbaresco from the 2022 harvest, gathered into 10 lots that they add to the barriques Vigna Gustava, which produces Nebbiolo in the shadow of the walls of the Grinzane Cavour Castle, and whose vinification is handled by the Centro Enosis Meraviglia of the oenologist Donato Lanati.
