In the scenographic context of the Castle of Grinzane Cavour, on October 30, 2021, and in simultaneous connection with New York, with the presence of Antonio Galloni, world-renowned wine critic and CEO of Vinous, the charity fundraising auction was held in favor of non-profit subjects and projects, conducted by the Christie’s auction house.

These are projects and initiatives of social utility in the fields of health, research, art and culture, social inclusion and the protection of Italian cultural heritage. The projects and initiatives were selected by the CRC Foundation before the event.
The winners of the lots will receive as a gift the 2020 Barolo barriques produced by the historic Gustava di Grinzane vineyard, vinified by Donato Lanati, an internationally renowned oenologist.

When the wine has completed its aging, that is, in 2024, about 300 bottles will be produced from each barrique, numbered and marked with a unique label created by the artist Giuseppe Penone: an unprecedented collection that will promote Barolo and its territory internationally, having at the same time supported several projects of social utility in Piedmont, in Italy and in the world.
